Peak Performance Clinic Series
Utah Gymnastics is moving to a new clinic model. Instead of the traditional, multi-day High Performance camp model, we will be offering a series of clinics throughout the year. These clinics will be shorter in nature and will focus on a different area/event to finely tune each athlete into achieving their peak performance. As Peak Performance Clinic dates are determined, they will be posted here.
Peak Performance Series: Gaining the Competitive Edge Clinic
Saturday, January 5th, 2019 – 11am-2:15pm preceding the Utah vs. Penn State gymnastics meet
The first clinic in the Peak Performance series is Gaining the Competitive Edge. This half-day clinic is open to any and all female entrants ages 12-18 and geared towards optional level gymnasts. Participants will have the opportunity to work with world-class, professional dancer and Ute choreographer, BJ Das and Utah’s Mental Performance Coach Dr. Nicole Detling. Gain the competitive edge through a one-hour session on the Huntsman Center floor exercise, learning how to perform and connect with the judges. Followed by another one-hour session focusing on performance enhancement through mental skills training. Participants will also have the opportunity to fuel up at the student-athlete cafeteria for lunch before attending the Utah vs. Penn State Gymnastics meet. Clinic cost is $100 plus online registration fees. Lunch and one ticket to the meet is included in the clinic registration fee. The option to purchase more meet tickets will be available on the registration page. Participants will check-in & check-out of the Dumke Gymnastics Training Center where free parking will be available for both drop-off and the duration the meet.
