Utah Utes Baseball Camps

DETAILS/F.A.Q.

Supervision

Campers will be under constant supervision by the University of Utah Baseball staff including coaches, athletic trainers, and players.

Parents

Parents are more than welcome to attend any of our camps and stay for the duration of camp. We only ask that you would kindly stay out of the way of our instruction by remaining in the bleachers and foul territory (Ute Practice Field), grand stands (Smith’s Ballpark) and outside of the football field sidelines/ end zone (Spence-Eccles Field House). Please be aware that you must pay for your own parking if not parked at our Ute Practice Field lot.

Equipment/ Dress

Youth Camps

Please wear your own baseball uniforms or athletic clothing for all of our Youth Camps. Baseball pants are suggested, but not required, due to some drills taught at camp. Please bring your own glove and bat (and helmet if you already own one). Water bottles are not required but allowed if wanted. There will be plenty of water available.

Middle School Camps

Please wear your own baseball uniforms for all of our Middle School Camps. Baseball pants and cleats* are strongly suggested due to the level of play at camp. Please bring your own glove, bat, helmet, and catcher’s gear for use (we will have limited helmets available if needed). Water bottles are not required but allowed if wanted. There will be plenty of water available during breaks.

High School Camps

Please wear your own baseball uniforms for all of our High School Camps. Baseball pants are required along with cleats.* Please bring your own glove, bat helmet, and catcher’s gear for use (we will have limited helmets available if needed). Water bottles are not required but allowed if wanted. There will be plenty of water available during breaks.

*Shoes/ Cleats*

Any type of cleat, turf, or athletic shoe is permitted at Ute Practice Field or Smith’s Ballpark. When attending camps at Spence-Eccles Field House ONLY ATHLETIC SHOES (TURFS) or RUBBER MOLDED CLEATS are permitted! Thank you.

Transportation

There will be NO transportation provided to and from camp. During our Next Level Showcase Camp, Campers will need to be able to get to both Ute Practice Field (day 1) and Smith’s Ballpark (day 2). Please take that into consideration when making travel arrangements.

Housing

There will be NO housing provided for ANY of our camps.

Meals

NO meals will be provided at any of our camps. Snacks and food is allowed, if wanted, but there will be limited time during water breaks to eat. A sack lunch is strongly suggested for our Next Level Showcase Camp due to the duration of camp on day 2.

Insurance

ALL Campers must provide their own insurance in case of injury during camp. Please fill out the corresponding waiver form and bring to the first day of camp during the check-in process.

Waiver Forms

Cancelations and Refunds

Only a participant and his/ her parents or legal guardian have authority to request a refund. NCAA rules require that Utah Baseball Camps have a written refund policy. There are NO EXEPTIONS to this policy. Each camp is deemed to have begun on the first scheduled day as published on the camp web site, email or brochure.

Refunds will be permitted upon emailed REQUEST ONLY. Full refunds, less the service fee, will be given only to those whose requests are received after camps are filled, in the case of an injury/ illness to the Camper or a death in the family. NO REFUNDS will be permitted after the refund deadline (one week before camps begin), even due to inclement weather, UNLESS the refund request falls under the injury/ illness exception or death in the family exception (see below). A $20.00 and $50.00 service fee is non-refundable and non-transferable for refunds respectively. Utah Baseball Camps cannot be held responsible for any change or cancellation charges required by airlines, travel agencies, or other institutions.

Injury/ Illness Exception

If a Camper is injured or becomes seriously ill BEFORE the camp begins and is not able to participate in the camp, he may receive a refund less the designated service fee under the following conditions:

  1. The Camper submits request by email requesting a refund.
  2. The Camper presents written documentation, from a qualified physician, stating he cannot participate in the camp due to the injury or serious illness.
  3. Both the emailed request and documentation from a qualified physician of injury/illness are received before the camp begins.

A Camper who is injured during the first two days of camp may receive a partial refund as stated. Or is welcome to stay at camp and participate in as much as his injury allows but he forgoes any right he may have had to a refund.

Death in the Family Exception

In the unfortunate event that a camper experiences a death in his immediate family, before or while attending one of our camps, he may receive a full refund of the tuition paid less the service fee respectively.

Discounts

University of Utah Employee

Campers whose parent(s) are employed at the University of Utah qualify for the Employee Discount. A photocopy of the parent's Staff/Faculty ID must be emailed to bsanty@huntsman.utah.edu before the coupon code is given out. The Utah Employee Discount will be 30% off registration price.

Sibling

Parents who are sending more than one kid to our camps qualify for our Sibling Discount. Last names must match up (certain exceptions may apply) and all siblings must be paid under the same account. Please email bsanty@huntsman.utah.edu to receive your coupon code. The Sibling Discount will be full registration price for the most expensive camp, and then 30% off each additional sibling’s registration price.

These two discounts may NOT be combined.
