Summary of Camp

Thank you for your interest in Karla Powell’s Softball Camps at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Our mission is to provide athletes with elite level softball instruction. Athletes will have the opportunity to learn college-level softball defensive, offensives, and pitching philosophies and practices from Hawk coaching staff and players. Athletes will also learn various drills to help better understand and develop the fundamentals and mechanics of softball. Our goal is to develop athletes on the field and teach athletes to become the very best version of their selves on and off the field.

Coach Karla Powell will be the lead instructor.  Powell played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin. She was a first baseman and designated hitter that was named a first team All-Big Ten performer in 2011 when she hit .313 with nine home runs, 10 doubles 31 RBI and 19 runs score. She was a third team All-Big Ten selection in 2012 and finished her career with a .286 average, 51 runs scored, 15 home runs, 26 doubles and 71 RBI in 190 games.  She has just completed her third year as head coach of the Hawks and previously served on the staff with Wisconsin, George Washington and George Mason Universities.
